Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a lovely location in the heart of the Cotswolds, perfect for a relaxing stay. The rooms were adequate but could use a makeover, decorated in a faded sage color with antique furniture. The service was top-notch, with helpful and informative staff. The dining experience was a bit disappointing with a limited menu, although the seven-course tasting menu received a Michelin star. The grounds are stunning, making it a great place for a romantic getaway.
I fell in love with the hotel's charm; located in the picturesque village of Upper Slaughter, the hotel perfectly blends rustic coziness with a touch of luxury. However, the dining experience could have been better, and some minor issues with the service affected the overall experience.
The hotel room was small and overlooked a road on the ground floor, very disappointing and cramped with less space and low ceilings. The furniture was old, scratched, and of poor quality. The TV did not work that night, and there was no wardrobe in the room. However, the location was superb with beautiful walks from the doorstep. The dining experience was really nice each morning, but the service was very basic and the facilities were tired with a lack of attention to detail.
The historic Manor House offers a perfect mix for guests with its huge king size bed, soft bath robes, and lovely complimentary tea and biscuits in the beautiful rooms, although cleanliness was not up to standard. The service was exceptionally pleasant and efficient, adding a little polish to an already excellent experience. The location in Upper Slaughter, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, where rural and tradition meet luxury, provides a stunning setting for a peaceful retreat. The dining experience was good, though a bit hit and miss. The facilities offer fair value with pleasant country walks to enjoy.
The country hotel offers a very comfortable stay with a super king size bed and a large bathroom. While it may feel a bit old-fashioned and tired with some minor details to improve, it provides a cozy experience overall. The service, though attentive, is excellent and the location in Upper Slaughter offers delightful countryside walks. The facilities are sufficient without extravagant additions.
Staying at the Manor House was a bit disappointing due to the room condition and cleanliness, but the location was superb with beautiful walking trails right from the doorstep. The dining experience was fair, and the service was a mix of aloof and attentive.
